Tell us a bit more about yourself
As a self-declared “bunny-hugger” with a scientific brain and a searching soul, I am passionate about making the world a better place as a direct extension of my (net)work. Helping companies, communities and governments alike to run more efficiently and being less wasteful by introducing waste minimisation strategies (focussing on waste prevention but including reuse and recycling as well), creates a win-win scenario for both the people as well as for the planet as the ultimate provider of all life-supporting resources.
Studying metaphysics in the past years added a strong spiritual component and understanding to my work and more recently I am increasingly fascinated by the emerging science of “biomimicry”.
Biomimicry is learning from and then emulating natural forms, processes, and ecosystems to create more sustainable designs. The core idea is that nature has already solved many of the problems (e.g. providing sustainable energy solutions, staying independent from "heat, beat and treat type manufacturing developing true zero waste societies. ) we are grappling with.
